Brick Glazes
Colorobbia has developed a series of products for brick glazing making it possible to achieve the natural effects these materials acquire following exposure to atmospheric agents.
Colorobbia products can be applied whatever the condition of the base (green, dry or already fired) either dry or damp.
GLAZES AND TRANSPARENT FRITS These are glazes and transparent frits formulated for use at any temperature and in any firing cycle, suitable for all bodies.
ENGOBES Designed for wet or dry application in a wide range of colors, from white through to yellow, green, black and brown as well as a large number of intermediate shades. The special formulation allows for deep color penetration to assure outstanding durability.
MOLDS Designed to reproduce the natural effects of aging and exposure to the elements, producing results with exceptional visual impact. The variety of colors are limited to the natural effects of moss, lichen and weathering.
Glazes, transparent frits, engobes and moulds are formulated with lead-free products, so they can be used by brickworks without harming the environment.
Glazes and Colors
Colorobbia Specialties offers a wide range of glazes and colors suitable for the traditional artistic ceramic production, furnishing accessories and stoneware.
WHITE GLAZES AND CLEAR GLAZES These products are suitable for glazing any substrate, from red clay to porcelain, and using any firing cycle; also for production of antique effects such as matte and craquelé. Corrective agents are also available to adapt fusibility and expansion coefficient to requirements of use.
SPECIAL COLORED GLAZES These consist of vitreous coatings that are opacified through the addition of coloring oxides during grinding. They can be used on the majority of substrates and are suitable for creating special effects such as parchment, iridescent, metallic, metallised and reagent.
TRANSPARENT FRITS Colored but not completely opaque vitreous coatings with a deep colour that can be used for under-glaze decoration. The variability of the colour tone, which depends on thickness, is generally exploited to accentuate low reliefs and engravings.
COLORS These leaded or lead-free, under-glaze (CSC) or over-glaze (CSM) colours are obtained by mixing pigments with fluxes and can be used directly on the bisque or on objects that are already glazed. Applied by brush, sponge, pad, spray gun or screen printing.
The lead-free ventilated CAV series allows for dry mixing of colours and is suitable for coloring white glazes or neutral transparent frits by means of simple dispersion.
Roof Tile Glazes
These products meet market demand for effects with a strong aesthetic impact for use on roofs in houses located in old town centers or areas of artistic interest.
GLAZES AND TRANSPARENT FRITS Colored glazes and neutral transparent frits are formulated for any type of firing and with suitable expansion for any type of body.
