Company

About us:

GV Service, Inc. began operations in 1998 with a small office in New York City. From the start owner and president of the company, Mr. Giulio Valente, built relationships with many of Italy’s leading producers of the latest machinery and spare parts for ceramic production.

As a small corporation, at the beginning we distributed mainly to producers of ceramic tiles in the United States, but we have since expanded into the advanced ceramic technology areas. Therefore our position in the industry has grown over the years, and we were able to overcome the challenging periods of 2001 and 2002. Thanks to the loyalty of our customers and continued cooperation of our vendors, we still broke even during those challenging periods and maintain positive relationships with both our vendors and clients.

Our clients have always been satisfied with both the products and service we provide. The fact that we are a smaller enterprise has not hindered our growth, yet as we grow in the industry we still remain customer friendly and offer the highest quality service possible.

Current:

GV Service’s main office is still located in New York City and in January 2007 we opened our warehouse in Alpharetta, GA. Our warehouse stock includes many items which are ordered on a regular basis by our clients. We offer to stock these items based on a 3 to 6 month record of orders of our clients. There are many benefits to stocking regularly ordered items.

It decreases the wait for our clients so there is less downtime if a part is needed immediately. Due to the fluctuating exchange rate of US Dollar to Euro, having the items in stock ensures a regular price on those parts. Lastly, it costs much less to have items shipped from our Warehouse due to its central location in the United States in comparison to having to pay shipping from Italy.

Biography of Owner and President of Company, Mr. Giulio Valente:

Mr. Giulio Valente, president and owner of GV Service, Inc. began his career in Italy at Welko Industriale, S.p.A.. He first served as Chief Technician from 1989 to 1992, and took his expertise to several countries throughout Europe and Asia. In mid-1992 he became Sales Manager and by 1994 was promoted to Regional Manager for Asia and later Eastern Europe.

By 1997 Mr. Valente decided it was time to bring his vast experiences of the last eight years to the Vortec Corporation in the United States. He was hired on as an Independent Ceramic Consultant and oversaw all scheduling of finances, production, design and marketing. On the more technical side, his position entailed overseeing analyses of plant and warehouse logistics as well as reports and tests conducted at onsite laboratories and on the production line.

In 1998 he moved on to Ann Sacks and became a leading salesperson and sales consultant for architects and designers. Although Mr. Valente was one of the leading salespeople at Ann Sacks, he realized the necessity for experienced ceramic technicians/services and advanced technology in the United States market. The result was Mr. Valente’s decision to bring his own knowledge and experience from abroad in order to start GV Service, Inc. Since the inception of GV Service, Mr. Valente has been able to build and maintain many of the company’s positive relationships with producers of spare parts and machines in Italy, as well as expand sales in the United States.

While maintaining a business in 2002, Mr. Valente also assisted in research conducted by Construction Technology Laboratories of Chicago, IL. His background and connections made through building GV Service were crucial in their research on recycled materials for ceramic tile production.

Now in 2007 Mr. Valente has brought GV Service to a higher level in the industry by bringing advanced technology to various ceramic technical fields in the United States.
